This band have always been genre tourists so the fact that they'd fall flat on their face here doesn't surprise me. I'm just disappointed by both the seeming lack of effort on the part of the band to make something interesting and the tendency of many to praise this just because the band did it.
If this wasn't a King Gizzard album, no one would have cared.

Guys King Gizzard did a Thrash album lets jerk each other off and scream about how groundbreaking it is because a band that doesnt do Thrash made a Thrash album Ive never listened to a single Exodus album and this is the greatest Thrash album ever made did I mention that these guys werent a Thrash band before they made this album like holy fuck wow they did it they werent a Metal band and then they made a Thrash Metal album like how can that even be possible Ive never heard of a band jumping towards different genres each album like King Gizzard do this is truly great hey can you guys tell me what this weird band called Testament is that everyone keeps bringing up they sound like theyd be boring old man trash anyways guys did I mention that this is great and that King Gizzard arent a Thrash Metal band but they made a Thrash album guys im so excited for what innovation this is going to bring
