New Devourment is solid stuff. In style its similar to their earliest stuff, though it doesn't really capture the same genuinely disturbing vileness of the stuff on 1.3.8.

RYM is great. I've found tons and tons albums through their chart system. Their reception of this isnt surprising though.

RYM in general tends to be much more harsh when rating music regardless of the genre. It's uncommon for records here to hit a 4.0 average or above after accruing a significant number of votes, but it's a much rarer occurrence there.
