Yes, band rules. Check out Fall of Efrafa if you dig Cranes.

Had to 5 this one, with SITSOC being in its company.

'Yes, band rules. Check out Fall of Efrafa if you dig Cranes.'

I've never thought of the two being that similar personally, which FoE are you talking about? I mean, it doesn't matter because FoE are incredible and everyone should check them regardless, just curious.

Cranes is actually similar to Fall of Efrafa in its songwriting approach. "Rabbitcore" is definitely a nice term for it.

I enjoyed 'Cranes' but admittedly I cannot remember it well enough to argue against your point, I just don't remember noticing any significant similarities at the time. Like I said earlier in the thread, I do plan on revisiting this band as a whole (likely next year), so maybe I can listen out for that.

I recommend you listen to Cranes, then Inle - within a span of a day if possible. That way, you'll definitely spot the similarities between the two.

Mind you, the other Gaia albums aren't similar to Efrafa that much/at all.

'Cranes is actually similar to Fall of Efrafa in its songwriting approach. "Rabbitcore" is definitely a nice term for it.' - never considered that but you're definitely onto something there, right down to the way that both like a tempo drop just before busting into a COLOSSAL soundscape riff

The drummer is amazing, really dug them. They sound really tight and powerful live

Did you see them this summer?

They played in my area (Vienna) with Der Weg Einer Freiheit back in July, but I was back in the States visiting family, and missed them sadly.

Also, still easily in the top 5 of the year.

I know what it means in relation to Fall of Efrafa, but why that has anything to do with these guys is beyond me.

Check the concept out, it's a trilogy with an overarching narrative. I'm not entirely sure what a 'rabbitcore' band might consist of musically, but that's irrelevant as it refs the narrative.

Awesome band regardless - 'Inle' is top tier post-metal, but overall they cover a lot of ground and all 3 are definitely worth hearing.

I was just trying to use a cute name for crust. Because crust is just... terrible.
