Hoping disco4 comes out this year

gonzo i'm not sure what my favorite track is. I was able to rate this a 4 because the atmosphere is so consistent and there are numerous highlights throughout but I was listening to it as an album and not paying attention to the tracklist. I need several listens before I can pick out favorites I think.

"2020 it is. DISCO4 is coming soon, it will be completely different than the other installments and possibly bigger than any of them. So stay tuned."
They said this on 2/25, so hopefully it comes out in the next month or two!

Ahh nice. He’s alluding to the fact it won’t be remixed songs but collaborative tracks, which they built up to before this album dropped.

a whole album of collabs would be incredible

Aye. I listened to s podcast recently where he says remixes are pointless now so the band focus on collabs. It’s a fair assumption it’ll be a collab record

Mmm y'know what, might bump this down to a 3.5, the production is cool but not top-tier like their first 2, and the mopey nihilism in the lyrics sours on me more and more with each listen.
I still like it and all but ehh

Still in isolation, so I listened to all their albums in chronological order yesterday. I really love the vibes and the songwriting on the first two albums, but I can't overlook the fact that their last two albums are so much better for memorable songwriting. Death Magic has so many catchy tunes on it and the production on both of these albums is unreal. Haven't listened to the s/t or Get Color in a couple of years, so it was great hearing them all back to back, but there's just something about this album; it's perfectly executed and combines everything they've ever done.
