I am more disappointed that the rating for this album isn't below 2.5 yet.

@Stoned: check RYM's average.

RYM is the worst

I've actually seen some instances where I preferred the RYM average to the Sput average, tbh. But most times yeah. Sput's more either "this bangs" or "this sucks" while RYM is a bit more hyperanalytical.

Yeah and that’s why I dislike rym
Fuckin nerds that take everything wayyyy too seriously

The hyperanalytical nature of the site is really a mixed bag. One example: Gravity has a 2.14 average there which, to be honest I think that feels a bit more fair than what Sput has it at.
However, Jane Doe doesn't even have a 4 there...hmmm

And then The Chronic has a fucking 3.8 like rym stfu

Jane Doe’s still in the top 300 of all time there
Most of the Sputcore stuff is trending upwards, and maybe they’ll even be bolded in a year of two. The scale is so much different since getting a 4 is way harder

why you gotta kick me when I'm down is weirdly connecting with me a ton after 2 listens. it has some great power to it all around and honestly Oli gives an extremely versatile vocal delivery throughout. While i still am bewildered about another shift in the band's identity, there are some definitive ambitious moments on this that show a ton of guts. Just how much did Jordan Fish get in the way of everyone else as far as writing and creative control. It seems like he singlehandedly convinced or influenced them all into this direction .

RYM sucks... It is an inferior site to Sputnikmusic. Even if my lists end up with no comments, at least I know someone has seen them. RYM doesn't have many users anymore.

have had the chorus of Mantra stuck in my head all day

@Proto: Honestly, be prepared for more shifts to come. The band doesn't want to be confined to one identity, I'd say expect something different each time. Personally, I want to see them go all out with the electronics, ditch the poppy formula and maybe bring more guitar in to turn the next album into almost an industrial rock effort. Now THAT would be fucking cool to see.

@Wonder: I've legit had Medicine stuck in my head and that's in the bottom two for me.

Yeah that one’s been bouncing around in my head too. Luckily, I’m at a point where I thoroughly enjoy that track

damned "sugar honey ice & tea" and "MANTRA" stuck in my head...even though i don't care for the latter that much still.
edit: now we have fuckin "mother tongue" joining the party
