These dudes remind me a lot of what it would sound like if Blut Aus Nord decided to add metalcore elements into their music.

I knew this existed, been just so far behind with 2018 albums due to a bunch of shit. This is sadly too the last year I'll probably be doing my huge end of the year lists but we'll see as I know I'll not have time to be doing it much anymore or even listening to music. At least new releases as much

I feel that man. Music always comes and goes in cycles for me. It's hard to keep up that new music grind because you have to accept that
1) you'll never catch up/you won't hear everything there is to hear, no matter how highly recommended they come
2) much of what you'll hear will be average or worse before you uncover the gems
Takes commitment, lot of time/opportunity to jam, and patience. And it's hard to fork all that over.

Yup, it sucks! I'll still be paying attention to new releases but it's more going to be in line with bands I already know vs really going outside to find hidden gems anymore unless I find a lot of time. Most of my time with music will probably be more spent on listen to discogs of older stuff I need to hear/catchup/reacquainted with.

Nothing wrong with that. Once you get into summer/fall there's generally a lot of hype around a cluster of albums that you can check.

metalcore seems pretty DEAD to me the past few years but i could just be ignorant
