But hey you shouldn't complain, so what if you paid £200, capitalism innit, what did you expect?

What an absolute shambles

they pretty much ruined my experience seeing them live; they're just obnoxious, self-entitled pricks.

I can imagine the crowd being a lot better in japan

From what you and calc have said they sound like the fucking worst and will make any excuse for a shitty experience/being ripped off, must suck for you guys who actually have your heads screwed on

Note I paid £130, but I had to stay in a Hotel as well to attend the show. As a positive, I did get some awesome merch and I met some friends there.

"but i can say if id payed £200 and got your experience i'd have taken it far worse than you have lol."

I'm really bummed out about it but I guess I'm just happy I paid and showed support for giving me so many amazing memories I guess. Plus I've bought a bunch of things used from them in the past, so I guess this makes up the deficit of money lost on that.

"honestly tuna, the fanbase (beside the nice nice dudes on here) are fucking cancer"

There are a few nice people outside of here too, got a Discord server made for Dir and there are a good few active members who are nice.

"I can imagine the crowd being a lot better in japan"

It really depends on the day from what I've heard.

Not excusing it, else I wouldn't do the write-up but I can see why someone would think I'm being too mellow on it. Die was on stage speaking to everyone, VIP met and asked questions (although it was more talk to statues since they'd rather do anything else by the looks of it).

I'm really sorry about that, Calc.

@Gonzo

Japanese fans are the same, if not worse.

That kind of unquestioning dedication to a band just makes no sense to me especially when they fuck fans over and they try to rationalise it

Well, the industry there has its way of marketing and building devotion through a bunch of limited editions, pre-order bonuses, fanclubs with exclusive products, lots of publications, paid apps with updates from members, which leads to people competing over who's the biggest fan, creating cliques and inevitably to an obsession to the extreme in some cases.

The band itself is more of a victim of that system, they really had the best intentions and put so much passion into their live shows, because even just touring abroad is something very few Japanese bands do.

That fucking sucks, kinda reminds me of when I saw Brand New but way worse. Sorry to hear that Calc

“I'm not against any of you who loved this album. I just hate metalcore vibe that this album gives me. I. Hate. Metalcore.”

You’re listening to the wrong metalcore then tbh.

Damn, that sucks @calc. I've always wanted to see them live considering the DVDs make it out like their live shows are amazing, but if the experience is what you described im not as enthusiastic anymore...

What do you think of when you think of metalcore?
