Word, I can understand that. I find his vocals grating at times. I think if he stuck to gutturals he'd actually be a much more successful vocalist, his lows are pretty awesome. I always thought these guys actually did the symphonic thing quite successfully (on their earlier albums at least) and I've always been impressed by the level of musicianship, as far as black metal (or whatever anyone wants to call it goes) it's fairly high.
