I love the new one, though I feel it doesn't grab you the way the previous two did, so maybe that's why some people aren't as fond of it. The second half has many amazing moments.

because it's frankly bland. though i found queen of time a step down from red cloud, it was still lush, rich and full of little unexpected turns in every track. halo has none of that.

yeah you're right, listen four onwards was very rewarding
i do think it starts off a little weaker but track 5 onwards are just straight up winners. 'on the dark waters' and 'windmane' feel rather weak and it does make the album feel like it takes a bit of time to get going, especially considering 'the moon' is a good song - but a bit slow by their standards when it's surrounded by subpar songs.
but i'll concede, i was definitely wrong.
