It's a bit formulaic and primitive compared to the evolution in their sound over subsequent releases. At the time it was the next best thing to Slaughter of the Soul for me personally. I still jam it every now and then for nostalgic reasons, but they definitely made better records throughout their career.

I always thought this album felt a good amount heavier than Slaughter of the Soul despite the comparisons
