I'm waiting for Pogo to come out and be the smoking gun. It seems once the band picked up steam, he just kinda sat himself to the side and watched all the debauchery unfold and just let it all sink into his head. ALMOST like he knew the rest of his career was gonna be riddled with controversy so he was just like "WELP AT LEAST I HAVE ALL THIS DIRT ON THOSE SHITBAGS."

If there's one thing his autobiography taught me, it's that Manson was an especially shitty person in the early to mid 90s. Don't be surprised if more stuff comes out in the future.

That's exactly what I'm saying, these types of issues were swept under the rug so much more in the 90's. And now, in today's day and age, a LOT of what he wrote about about wouldn't fly at all. It's been a while since I read the book, I'm overdue for a re-read, but wasn't there some parts about some fucked up shit they did to a deaf girl? Or the stuff they did to girls on the Jim Rose Circus Tour? Didn't they record a lot of that and add them as sound bites to Smells Like Children?

I just remember being disappointed because I was expecting it to be a little bit more profound considering some of his interviews and lyrics on his early albums, but it was basically just a book of "LOOK AT HOW FUCKED UP I AM, I'M A SATANIC SEXUAL DEVIANT" with like two or three interesting things thrown in there

Not sure about the girls on the Jim Rose Circus Tour but I distinctly remember the passage about the deaf girl and how they exploited her and took advantage of her. That definitely wouldn't fly now. Didn't they cover her in meat and urinate on her?

Basically, and on a lighter note, in the book he REALLY goes out of his way to make it known how much he hates The Smiths. Anyone that has to put that much emphasis on something as trivial as that must have their own inner struggles with it. Long story short, Manson is a closeted Morrissey fan.
