depends how far apart we're speculating. 14 years later vs 4 years, who knows how used to the songs you'd be to critique the lack of punch on certain songs and the boost given.

My initial instinct is to say that had I been a converge fan since the beginning I would have spent those 14 interim years yearning for a remaster of YFM lol, that I would not have been satisfied with the initial production job even though I like the songs a ton. the original YFM is still good no doubt but I can't imagine that album coming out after Jane Doe and being like "yeah this is what I want to hear and how I want to hear it"
but I'm 99% sure I came to this remaster first which is why I'm doubting myself

tbh this and the ISIS remasters weren't necessary to the fans but once we got such a gift we can't imagine them as they were 10 years ago. I don't think people wished for remasters back then since the standard of clarity wasn't where it was at now with improved technology & mastering/mixing techniques. no one saw these coming but it opened eyes and appreciation more.
