Now that's a bit harsh. I think.
I liked the three albums before this well enough.

Yeah their albums are all good, but there’s often something holding them back and more often than not it’s the songs where Rossen sings.

I'm looking at veckatimest and yellow house, the two albums i know best, and whereas your case holds water for veckatimest, yellow house he has "little brother," "on a neck, on a spit" (good overall: but the first 40 seconds are absolutely immaculate), and "reprise"!

Yellow House is their second best and the one where I like Rossen best so I can’t really disagree with you there.

Which songs are his on Shields because I love every song on that album

Veckatamist>Yellow House>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Horn of Plenty and Shields

Shields and Yellow House dunk on Veckatamist
|

I've been listening to Grizzly Bear since before your singular ball dropped don't even try to step to me with this "sHiElDs DuNkS oN vEcK" shit you combed cotton ass chompskey-honk

There is an argument to be made for Yellow House being better than Veck tho. It's a wrong argument, but it's an argument.
|
| |
Veck is my 2nd least favorite I don't get it
|
| |
that doesn't surprise me atall
|
| |
It's their poppiest release, very surprised it's yr favorite honestly
|
| |
it's also their most psychedelic and structurally intriguing. everything since has been a watered down cookie cutter shell of the band they were with yellow house and veck.

However I'm listening to Veck right now and really feeling it
|
| |

Memories of 2009 Sputnik when everyone thought Veckatimest and Merriweather Post Pavilion were the best albums ever
