"eve gives me post/sludge metal vibes so i'd rec checking out neurosis and cult of luna"

yeah there's a strong post metal influence on eve, especially from neurosis. i'd say times of grace era neurosis is the closest to eve

Sludgy, post-metal giants basically, yeah. Although some are probably better bets than others. Honestly, I'm not the best person to ask but Neurosis would make sense, Converge are touring with them at the minute & Neurosis seem to be a recent influence on a couple of their tracks.

only other metal I enjoy is Alcest, Deafheaven, Sleep, and Mare but this sludgy, shoegazey stuff combined with harsh but not too harsh vocals seems to be what im looking for

tbh closest post-metal u can get to Eve would be:

Old Man Gloom - Zozobra (considering Nate is a part of the band and opens up the one-song record)

... also the 2nd disc of Ape of God

Cult of Luna - Salvation

Isis - Panopticon & Oceanic

Neurosis - Times of Grace & Sovereign

Rosetta - Determinism of Morality & Wake/Lift

Time to Burn - Is.Land (kris is on the money)

Sumac - What One Becomes

I was hoping Relinquished would turn up, he's the authority on this sort of thing (I've decided).
