Even worse - haven't watched a minute of the Jose revolution yet, missed both games, haven't watched any highlights

Allis’ jiggery pokery which led to Auriers belter was top drawer stuff.

Always maintained Alli should be playing as close to Kane as possible - he's often the only unpredictable element we have in attack.
Dropping him deeper just didn't work and seemed to throw his form totally off

Back to the politics
Just watched that Andrew Neil interview with Corbyn. The man is incapable of giving a straight answer.
Clearly been told to say ‘let me finish’ in order to convey policy and in doing so comes across as a feckless wonder.
Boris dithers, stammers and lies but fuck me at least there’s some gumption.

The fact he can’t answer quickly and with conviction spells disaster if he’s PM - unless he nationalises all the media lol
There’s an air of ineptitude at the front of the Labour Party...and more sinister undercurrents behind those.
I respect he’s a man of principle but the fact is his principles would make him unelectable if he could totally control party policy - the fact people defend this with the idea the party will control these principles is a worry, the man is as ruthless as they come as evidenced by the transformation of the party so far. You’re not just out with Labour, you’re likely to be hounded and discredited.
If he gained power expect him to be emboldened rather than mellow - so more of the same. If then he could implement his most extreme principals then he would.
His stance on the nuclear deterrent (well, defence in general tbh) alone makes him unelectable for the majority of the population - so it’s not surprising he evaded giving straight answers. He’s sidestepping the fact his principles are way outside the norm.

The Corbyn Catch-22 is:
- what sort of leader would he be if he got into power and didn't try and change policy to meet his own principles/beliefs? You can't aim to be a leader with such a huge degree of compromise all the time and don't in your heart believe in your own policies (see the current Brexit policy - half hearted doesn't cover it. Go into negotiations asking for a great deal for something you won't campaign for? Corbyn of course wants Brexit perhaps even more than Boris Johnson is the truth! He's clearly uncomfortable with the whole thing, not great leadership and he's not even PM in the same position).
- what sort of leader would he be if he got into power and did instill his extreme principles and beliefs that aren't shared by the populace? You can't aim to be a leader with such unconventional ideas unless you want to go against your people, effectively thinking you know best. Dangerous ground.
Then you add in that he seems incompetent or unwilling to deal with a lot of the regular cut and thrust and it's pretty easy to see why the public still have so little confidence in the idea of the bloke having power.

Indeed a dangerous man.

Where I live is Lib Dem or Tory, currently Libs so that’s a meaningful vote, plus the wife is a teacher and they’re strongest on education it seems - then as much as I don’t think they are fit to govern anything the Greens need votes to show we should clean up our act/invest in clean power etc, but only a protest vote. They were biblically bad when they were voted in in Brighton at first
Really proportional representation should come in then I’d almost always vote Lib Dem...barring the occasional policy clanger that they drop from time to time. Three meaningful parties would be better for all at this point, keep the bastards on their toes

Ed Davey. My friend I mentioned before (doctorate in euro politics) used to work with him while studying (despite really being affiliated to Labour in the bigger picture, but obvs was learning/gaining experience close to home)
He wants to campaign for the Tube to come all the way to Kingston and I’m all for that, most of his policies seemed fair enough.

I actually admired Farrons integrity when he stood down for his religious beliefs. Bloke should be applauded but Lib Dem’s are definitely not my cup of tea.

They do usually have some nonsense ‘attention grabbing’ policies and the coalition was naive and they got rogered silly there
I was all for voting based on wanting to exit the EU as I feel we’ve already burnt our bridges/it was a democratic vote...but then rationally, I’d still rather we were in Europe. The whole thing is a head fuck

Ah I've heard good things about Davey as a local MP. Always struck me as a good guy
FPTP is beyond outdated at this point and it's disheartening to see Labour clinging to it to protect to their vote share. Finding this election particularly irritating in that regard; Libs would be the easy choice for me nationally but they didn't make their deposit last time and the best odds of kicking the SNP out would be Labour, so the only strong pro-union vote here is the Tories and the only strong remain vote is pro-independence :/
