"The production is kind of stale and the bass isn't audible."

What in the fucking fuck are you talking about? Go 20 seconds into "The Taming of a Beast" and listen. Hear that deep sound that comes sliding in? That's called a bass guitar. You either need new ears or new headphones...

It's outrageous when people don't listen what you do and don't like what you like. And it's even more so when they degrade it. But please, don't be rude. Not needed.

It's got nothing to do with personal taste, he made a factual claim that the bass is not audible. When someone is so blatantly wrong about something, I'll speak however I want to them thankyou very much.

Reasons is wtf, but the rest of the album features some of their strongest stuff to date

What is it with Reasons and nobody likes it? I think it's brilliant and br00tal, but in a good sense. Great dynamics and mood changes and one of the most energetic endings on the album.

I haven't quite found what everyone else is raving about. Looking at the genres associated with this band I thought I was going to really enjoy this album but it feels kind of bland. There aren't really any exciting moments on this.. at least none that I've found yet.

Maybe check Remedy Lane and then come back to this.

But why would I check a past album to get this one?

It might give you some context to their sound that would help you appreciate this. It's helped me with some bands in the past.

Remedy Lane and The Perfect Element Part 1 are the essential classics by these guys. If you end up liking those ones then I don't see why you wouldn't like this

I guess I'll give them a listen. For me this album just doesn't have any big moments that I would expect from an album about a man facing his literal death. It doesn't have any authentic weight or emotion; it feels phoned in for the most part. The only song that's been remotely interesting so far is "Full Throttle Tribe" but only when it quiets down and focuses on developing a haunted atmosphere.

Now this is something I'll need to check for sure! I loved the perfect element by them

The first and the last songs on here are the best. The middle kinda lost me a bit tbh.
