Nah, I already like it. Sounds like 22, a million but with actual songs.

I don't love it but it's easy to listen to

I have two ways I listen to this - active, really concentrating on the details/lyrics, and secondly playing it a bit quieter as background music. I think it works so well for both and that doubles the amount of time I feel like spinning it and ultimately might make it my AOTY.

Cass McCombs?

Album Rating: 5.0
I've narrowed it to three contenders - this, McCombs and Nick Cave. Unless something comes out of nowhere one will be crowned champ...and the winner will also get my one 5/5 rating of the year

This is the most new/distinctive, McCombs is the most straightforward and Cave is the most themed

This is currently vying with AMSP for my number 2 spot, with A Sailor's Guide To Earth still taking my number 1. This and AMSP are my two favorites of the year compositionally, but ASGTE tops them for emotional impact.

Wow, this band must be really popular in Europe. They just announced their tour for this and like 75% of the shows are in Europe.
They do have a MA show though, may try to snag tix to that.

It is strange Twig - I saw a show there once and the headliner was way less popular than 'Chop - or so I would think

Yeah, I'd have thought the Orpheum or the Opera House--shows what I know.

^^building the great wall of Lambchop.
Can finally say this is a 4.5 for me--really need to stop listening to it after Is A Woman, so it can shine on its own.

Well I bumped this to AOTY and a 5/5 - the most unique listening experience of 2016 and it has imprinted itself on this year more than any other release for me. Probably listened to it over 100 times now.

"the most unique listening experience" - that's a good way to put it.

Well now I've listened to Jukka Nousiainen and I gotta say that's a pretty unique listening experience too.
Rated it at a 3.5 for now but it might grow to a 4-4.5 that one
