Time to start a fight.
I listened to Into the Waves and it was super underwhelming. I don't know if it got hyped too hard or just that I didn't listen to it after listening to Shelter, but it felt average as fuck.

I know it. I was pretty excited to hear it because of the praise. I don't think it sucks, but before I felt like I was missing out and now I do not.

I mean, if you expected to get blown away and only listened once, you probably won't find much enjoyment in it.
Personally liked it on first listen although at the same I didn't expect to hear such a change from the rest of the album. And it grew on every listen after that.

I will listen to it in context then at some point but it really felt like they told the woman, "Hey, here's a track you can sing on. We don't care what you do with it because we aren't going to use it anyway," and then she did her best.
