"just can't sit through "High-er. High-er" for 2 whole minutes every time it comes on"

I feel like I'm the only person who isn't bothered by this

This is a good review, I kind of feel similar. I heard it three times now (as well as the 2nd side) and only 4/5 tracks really stand out to me, the rest is just alright.

first three paragraphs are about his entire catalogue - can easily start review with introducing the musicians

It's the best work I've ever heard from Devin. To me, this is the perfect maturation of what he stands for, and it is probably one of the best, if not THE best album I've heard in the past couple of years. Absolutely blown away, a beautiful, masterpiece of an album.

All great, demigod. But I still prefer Transcendence. But you know, taste is always subjective.

didn't the last album have some sputnikkers singing on it? I mean, we should have all known it would be all downhill from there.

I don't agree with the 3.0 rating. Maybe it's because we have come to hold high expectations from Devin, or maybe it's nostalgia from the SYL era. Take it for what it is : a superior, ambient, excellently-produced/played album from one of today's greatest performer.
