Freewheelin has 5 of his most Iconic songs on it but it does get bogged down by filler.

I felt that way for a long time, but I've changed my opinion about most of the "filler" songs. There are a couple weak ones still though for me, Bob Dylan's Blues is the worst offender.

Half the songs on Freewheelin' are amazing, the other half really aren't that good. Doesn't matter how many times I listen to it I doubt I'll ever see past that.

thanks for the rec arg, Isakov is pretty coo. Big Black Car is probably my fav so far, but many of the songs have good lyrics like you said

Also, although I like Dlyan best as an acoustic folk artist as he was almost exclusively during the Feewheelin' and Times era, he definitely didn't find his peak as a songwriter until a few years later.

Ha, I think the acoustic vs. electric Dylan debate will never end. Both are pretty awesome though, at least we can agree on that.

yeah people should just like both. I remember when I was getting into Dylan I pretty much exclusively preferred his acoustic stuff, but his electric stuff grew on me an immense amount over the years

Blood on the Tracks is best Dylan but overall his "electric era" was his best. This, Highway 61 and Bringing It All Back Home come just after.

Yeah, I think Blood On The Tracks is easily his best. The next few albums are tough to rank though.
