there's some autotune on here but its just frank adding something different to his music, he can absolutely sing without it dont be silly z

I really actually don't like what I've heard from this record and I've been following Frank Ocean for ages. I feel like I've just not grown accustom to auto-tune and pitch shifting despite it's presence in current Hip-Hop.

Someone tell me that listening to this album as a whole reveals something like Channel Orange did rather than just a bunch of 'cool moments,' please!

oh yeah man there are so many layers for here for sure, it's sequenced weirdly but songs like White Ferrari, Siegfried, Nights are masterpieces with no pitch shifting at all

edit- wow wrong thread

yeah i like that he played with his voice a bit just to add a bit of a new dynamic to his music and even tho i normally dont mind autotune frank can definitely do away with it, he sounds good at all ranges from straight rapping to high singing ranges

i actually wish he rapped more he sounds dope on sunday with earl and his verse on oldie

officially its with the e although its meant to be a bit ambiguous, a metaphor for his sexuality

Blond is supposed to be a guy with fair hair

And blonde a female.

he listed one of his influences as brian eno and it makes sense when you consider this album is somewhere in-between rnb/pop/ambient
