decent band but they have the most cringeworthy album titles

I was at that Leeds show, he said his chest felt weird and then finished the set. Will miss these guys.

“I was at that Leeds show, he said his chest felt weird and then finished the set. Will miss these guys.”
I was supposed to see them at the London date of that tour, but they had to pull out of the last two shows because of James being rushed to hospital. It was a shame, as I saw them on the Brighton date and they killed it (it was Touche Amore, Angel Du$t and Departures which was a pretty sick line up). Luckily Elliott from Touche did a solo set playing Warm Thoughts/Dad Punchers songs instead which was pretty cool to see.
But yeah, gutted that they’re calling it a day but 100% understand why they’re doing so. Looking forward to the London show in February.

Just to add to that it was a while ago now but I'm 90% sure that he make a joke on stage like "I feel like I'm having a heart attack" as well, because he obviously had no idea that's what it actually was

^ Yeah, I listened to a podcast with their bassist and he explained that James' chest felt weird during the show, and he was still in pain when they drove up to Manchester that night for the next show of the tour. Then the next morning, he phoned the health services and they sent an ambulance to take him to hospital.

Just got back from their final show. Damn, that was truly fucking special. The setlist was on point with only a few major omissions, plus Dead Swans played a secret set beforehand

damn, he's extremely lucky to be alive not only surviving that but going without medical attention for so long after such a serious event.

Oh I agree, while it sucks that they're no longer a band (as well as the reasoning behind it), but the decision is all the best. The show last night was a hell of a swansong.

Honestly thought that James' experiences could have brought about an album's worth of lyrics, but obviously if it wasn’t as life threatening as his condition is

As someone who was there, it was just as emotional in person. It's kind of surreal watching the video of the show and then occasionally seeing my head in the crowd

Man this wrecks. Kind of reminds me of a band like Casey but maybe more self loathing? Idk but whatever it is its fucking beautiful
