Give it time, the 3.8 will come. La Gargola took forever but it got there.

Interesting songs. Rad album chevelle! But i do wish it had more smoother songs like Sci-fi crimes did...

hopefully this will drop down to 3.8 and the other album will jump from 3.7 to 3.8

I just don't think this is better than Sci-Fi crimes or even Vena Sera. Cool that they got heavier, but I always appreciated their simple and amazing song writing approaches. As a metal head, this is kind of a try-hard effort. Not bad though.

It's still growing on me and there are some really awesome tracks here (kudos to that delicious bass) but it doesn't hit as well as La Gargola. Although, this is Chevelle we are talking about, so it's pretty much very very good instead of very very very good.

Some very cheesy back up vocals going on here, the bass line on door to door cannibals sounds just like the guitar riff from take out the gunman, the album kind of has the feel that they are trying to get the wonder what's next sound but without any of petes good vocals or harmonies.



a couple of decent tracks but would lye on the bottom of the pile of chevelle albums imo if point 1 didn't have blank earth then maybe it would be on the bottom.



the more i listen the more songs i'm wanting to skip unfortunately it's a step backwards from la gargola

Excellent album, it's just lacking on some of the hooks IMO. I think enemies could've been a much better song with a better chorus. But a solid record as a whole.
