I dig the new songs actually. At first I was really put off by the excessively whiny vocals in the verses, even more whiny than usual for this band. But then I noticed it reminds me a bit of Deftones delivery, and sometimes Chino's vocal delivery can be somewhat off-putting but still interesting in a weird way. I am kinda missing the more sombre feel that this album had ngl, but it's hard for me to deny the new songs bang pretty hard.
