It ain't bad.

Not my genre. I find this really boring. Way too squeaky clean and techiewankie. Sweep, blast beat, repeat. I mean, talented musicians, but this is a chore to listen to.

Vocals are way too high in the mix as well and quite monotonous.

You're not missing much, in my opinion. But if the best defense for my legitimate criticisms of this album are "lol," that tells you all you need to know.

id say this isnt all that wankie as youre crediting it for. Theres a lot more power in the bass work in relation to the guitar leads that keeps it from being the same riff proggy wankery that a lot of similar bands have.

Yeah I mean it's not all wankie, and there's sure as hell much worse offenders, but it's just not for me. Doesn't even really sound like metal to be honest.

It certainly has more groove to it than a lot of metal, but it seems kinda silly to say it isnt metal, wouldnt you agree :p

I also don't see why anyone would compare this and the new Gorguts at all aside from both being nominally tech death and from Quebec. To me, this is what I think when I think of tech death these days far more than Gorguts.

I'm not saying it isn't metal, just that the sound of it is not what I look for when I want to listen to metal. It doesn't give me any of the same vibes or experience that I'd get from a Morbid Angel album or something similar.

if youre looking for some decent tech metal, you might like Ordinance's new record The Ides of March. Perhaps it might be a little too wanky for you, I dont really know.

More power to you and those who enjoy it, just voicing my opinion. I don't really rate stuff I don't like for this reason, what's the point if other people dig it.

Yep. Pretty much anything that makes it to my ears these days isn't of poor quality really, I just don't like some of it. If I listened to a lot more bandcampcore bedroom vaporwave ambient releases I'd probably have a lot more 1's since those are actually of a poor quality.

With Spacesh1p on this, just not something I dig in the slightest.
