I already have 'Three Out Change' on my upcoming to-check agenda, is this a better starting point for these guys?

Completely different pole of their discog, not really better or worse. Three Out Change is cute and bloated and full of bangers and several songs that I forget exist, so it basically depends on how much you like brickwalled 90s pop rock

⚾⚾⚾ Change!! is a 80+ minute, nicely distorted but very long rock album. This is a more diverse, just-under-50 minutes cutie. Depends on the mood really!
I think I started with the debut and went chronologically from there, which is super interesting, but it is quite the time investment of course.
Maybe go for Highvision or even Futurama if you are not keen on starting with such a huge monster LP?

Yes I think Johnny and me basically said the same thing at the EXACT SAME MOMENT oh my.
There's-a-sea-between-us-but-it-doesn't-matter-for-our-in-sync-ness high five!!!

High five OH WAIT NOT SO FAST TRIF
and yeah Futurama might be a good starting point, hella strong album and a real shift in gears for them. Think the jump from that one's loop-based songwriting to this one's more expansive pieces is a really delicious step. Does come with the caveat that it's another 80+ minute mammoth and that the middle 2-3 songs are probably the worst in the supercanon

Also, to be fair, "brickwalled 90s pop rock" sounds waaayyyy worse than it is (read: it totally isn't, it's the opposite!) in the case of Supercar. Their brickwalling is exquisite. Really.

I really like the OOXeah !!s, so it might very well be!
What are your thoughts on Answer? It's kind of a weird duck in the pond I'd say, but I loooooove it too, it has some super good moments.
Also RE the brickwalling/distortion: I sometimes wonder if it ever sounded better than on their stuff. Seriously good.

Answer is defs their biggest weirdo album, but I love that they got the fractured hippie shades on and made a wholesome-edgy psych record as a follow up to this. I'd probably rank it near the bottom of their discog but looooove Recreation + Last Scene/Time as an end of discog pairing
Brb gonna jam Jet Bee Town, gimme that manic sugar rush

"there's an Easy Way Out".
