Disagree completely, tons of energy on here. It is overlong in places though which is pretty much my only gripe.

I mean I'll definitely need to spin it again so I'll report back but first time through I wasn't that into it.

this thing is a grower. has some beastly moments, but definitely feels like cobalt lite after hearing their older stuff.
Hunt The Buffalo has become one of my favorite 2016 songs, just can't keep my head calm when the first verse starts.

just can't keep my head calm when the first verse starts. [2]
This album has a lot of that going on for me. The riffs throughout are super groovy.

This album has a lot going for it. The vocals, drum production, lots of riffs.
But then it gets dragged down by the overly clean guitar sound (relatively speaking obv) and some bland parts here and there.
Overall it does a superb job staying interesting throughout it's length but it could have benefited from a slight trimming here and there

I actually really like the guitar tone/overall production on this album. I think it's nice and punchy but also has a raw, dry, desert-like feel to it. The whole album sounds hot, if that makes sense.
I definitely agree that it could have been trimmed up just a bit, there are a couple parts I think they could have done away with. I'm not talking about the interludes though, love those.

"Good on Eric Wunder for parting ways with that juvenile ***lord vocalist, Phil McSorely. On top of his childish and embarrassing interviews, the guy was kind of garbage. Slinging misogynistic and homophobic rhetoric isn't okay in metal in 2016 (nor was it ever) so it's refreshing to see it dealt with so effectively and to such praise."
lol, didn't realize I was on tumblr.

Seeing these dudes on Wednesday. Super stoked. The setlist from Friday's show was:
Hunt the Buffalo
Arsonry
Blood Eagle Sacrifice
Stomach
Gin
Slow Forever
Hoping they throw Ruiner on their set.

Lots of Toolisms on this album

I just saw them Saturday night. The setlist you posted is the one you can expect. Pretty damn good show, all told. Charlie Fell is a force of nature.

Nice man, I love Gin but I was really thinking they'd play more from the new album. Interesting song choices from the new one. I'm stoked to hear Charlie on the earlier stuff. Dude is insane.

Saw them last night, setlist DungeonBoy posted is what they played. I really wanted to hear Ruiner, too, but it was still a good set.
