Someone else will hopefully say something good about the record, then I'll reply with more compliments about it an you'll be set by then

It's dark, it's brooding. Corey sounds his best in years, Jay absolutely rips the fuck out of the skins, there are 14 tracks in total; lots of killer, little filler (imo). Mick and Root are obv having fun riffing as hard as they are. This album sounds like straight passion.

Even the lyrics are way better than in the last couple of records. There's still a couple of lines that made my eyes roll, but overall the cringe is really low, almost nonexistent. It seems to be a concept record, and the interludes/ambient sounds give it a great flow. It never feels like a 64 minute record and the experimentation never feels forced.

Am I just high, or is Liar's Funeral this band's Floods?

I will resist! But very nice to hear that the record is seemingly as good as I expected it to be from the singles

Pika I’m gonna need you to do me a favor and NOT rate the new album when it drops. My childhood needs this. One more good Slipknot avg

Already listened to the whole album, has been leaked, i only kind of liked the last two songs, hollow and bland overall

Just jammed the new record, about to rejam it again. I don't know where this ranks yet, but it's pretty high on my list. Corey sounds fucking great. Spiders is weird and there are a couple of other strange vocal sections but I'll see if they grow on me.

Not Long For This World and Solway Firth are the best imo, also Birth Of The Cruel to some extent, Nero Forte chorus it's atrocious and straight silly

There's some ferocious riffs on the new one, some cool little curveballs in there too that I wasn't expecting.

Jay slaps behind the kit too, constantly busy.

Corey is one of the biggest surprises for me, hasn't sounded this hungry for like 17 years.
