Did you really just try and tell me that TWDA is better than Soul Sphere? What?

They both suck, but this is better than that pile of Sumerian garbage with 0 personality that they put out, WITH TRIANGLES WE TRIANGLE ATRIANGLE.

They went to shit so hard. I'm still down with the first three LPs. Matriarch was pathetically bad.

Wait, I think they had an early LP I never heard. I'm talking Common Man's Collapse through Eclipse.

Yeah I'm so glad I got to see them live before Brandon left. They were touring with In Flames and Trivium. VoM went harder than both of em.

I like Mikasa and that's about it. Leeloo has some good riffage, but the album is pretty meh to me

Daenerys is a pretty cool song too imo, although carried pretty heavily by the vocals in the chorus

Are there any more choruses or melodic bits here like Illuminate (the only song I've heard on this) or would I be wasting my time.

Illuminate is imo one of the worse songs on this album (obv not as bad as bro me in the jungle, but still not of the better half for sure)

And to answer your question, for better or worse this is probably their most melodic album overall by a long shot. Try "The Other Half of Me" for a really earworming/spooky intro, or Warlords for a chorus similar to Illuminate (but better, i think)

I mean I'm not a deathcore guy (I only have VoM-Matriarch and MtS-Old Souls, basically metalcore) but these guys have been on my radar for ages now. I'll try it out.

This album is probably their least deathcore-y.

Idk man it's always pretty rough trying to lump albums into genres like that. There are objectively at least a few influences in here that make it pretty hard to call it that without missing a lot of the point.

I'd still call it deathcore, but that doesn't really describe what it really sounds like in any very meaningful sense

Haha, it is a good chorus though. I think Illuminate is easily one of the better tracks here. Video is corny as fuck however lol
