In regards to this album, I've reexamined it and found that the songs that were good are as follows:

Deracine

Lucy

Grudge

Deux

Ominous

The rest of the album is cacophony trash. Deux would have been better w/o the screaming parts. I seriously hate excessive screaming, unmusical ear damage. These songs though are pretty decent compared to what they've been putting out recently.

They really need to let the vk die, aka tranny rock, and just do a luna sea and wear normal clothes and go back to making interesting rock tracks that blend different genres but no more of this bad nu metal shit on these last few albums. More leech, hyena, ogre, etc closest theyve done is Lucy

Here we go again [2] It's like this band attracts people like this all the time.

"also you cant say it sounds like slipknot just because its the same genre."

...he never said that? Using the same production style and guitar riffs does not equate to saying they sound the same because they're in the same genre.

" you can say that about any heavy song"

Yes because Artificial Brain sounds exactly like that Gazette song…that’s far more ignorant than anything Evo has said. Idk what to tell you other than listen to more Metal in general because this is objectively not true.

"You completely avoided the entire argument about the album."

...what does this sentence even mean?

"NIL is the greatest modern album to come out of jrock, nothign dir en grey has ever produced can come close to it or any other modern visual kei band."

You can think that all you like, but no one here is going to agree with you (especially Jas and myself).

"Second, luna sea invented delay? Lmfao this has to be the worst argument used in history, claiming bands that use common guitar effects are somehow copying LOL."

No but Luna Sea is as far as know the band in Visual Kei which popularised it. You can use the exact same chords and effects with them being completely different dependent on context. What Evo is saying is that they're essentially the same regardless of that.

"You're just grasping at straws here kid "

Yes because ad hominem/insults will work to validating yourself. I can do that too, twat.

>but no more of this bad nu metal shit on these last few albums.

>ogre

Pick one buddy.

Long time no see.

"also you cant say it sounds like slipknot just because its the same genre. what a troll, you can say that about any heavy song."

Nope, there are countless heavy songs which don't sound like anything off this or Slipknot. You should probably try out more heavy bands.

"NIL is the greatest modern album to come out of jrock"

Hyperbolic and rather unfounded opinion, but you own the right to have one even if we don't agree.

"Just stop embarrassing yourself"

Sweet, lovely irony.

"thats not flangy, thats called delay"

Uh-oh, my heartfelt apologies for not using the proper terminology. I wasn't sure you can even tell the difference between a 6-string and a 7-string guitar, but I digress.

"Second, luna sea invented delay?"

Hmm, I never claimed that. In case there isn't any "Reading comprehension for Dummies" guide out there I should probably get on with writing one, because you're in dire need of it.

"Lmfao this has to be the worst argument used in history"

You're off to a pleasant ride through life with such high standards...

"claiming bands that use common guitar effects are somehow copying"

It's a pretty recognizable trait of Luna Sea's sound and their influence on newer bands is undeniable. There's also a difference between being influenced by something and ripping off, but the devil's in the details and you're too scared of him.

"its not even close to being similar, sugizo is using a stereo delay with a different timing and they sound nothing alike. You're just grasping at straws here kid"

Irony is a dead scene (you should check that out, btw).

"youre arguments are as stupid as your opinions"

Polite and reasonable debates? To hell with that.

"no more of this bad nu metal shit on these last few albums. More [...] ogre"

Error 404. Does not compute.

Looking forward to your reply in April 2018 on GSLbass.

probably said it sounds like slipknot because it sounds like slipknot

"NIL is the greatest modern album to come out of jrock, nothign dir en grey has ever produced can come close to it or any other modern visual kei band."

no

"Second, luna sea invented delay? "

no, but Sugizo's use of delay was crucial to Luna Sea's sound

"Lmfao this has to be the worst argument used in history, claiming bands that use common guitar effects are somehow copying LOL."

I can't for the life of me understand why you seem to think the fact that The GazettE wrote a song that has elements very similar to one of the biggest and most influential j-rock acts of all time is such a stretch

"its not even close to being similar, sugizo is using a stereo delay with a different timing and they sound nothing alike."

I doubt the guitarist was that focused on sounding similar that he figured out exactly which delay effect Sugizo tended to use and how long the delay was

"You're just grasping at straws here kid and youre arguments are as stupid as your opinions they attempted to support."

can't really take this seriously coming from the dude that reckons The GazettE are actually good

"I seriously hate excessive screaming, unmusical ear damage."

please stop talking about music

"aka tranny rock"

there he goes. what's wrong with androgyny?

and lmao at the notion that The GazettE's music hasn't always been bad nu-metal influenced dogshit

Everything Dir En Grey has done since 2005 is unequivocally superior to this album...and I enjoyed this album. The rest is up to personal taste. But if we're looking at originality and songwriting skill, it's impossible to argue that this touches anything Diru have done since their inception. The only thing that can sway one's opinion is their preferred genre / production style.

Dir and Gazette fans are both equal levels of abysmal. If the Dir fanbase wasn't so inept I would have made a Discord by now.

"dir en grey fans make me hate being a dir en grey fan"

I've felt out of place when I saw them live a few years back...a bunch of fandumb everywhere and it seemed I was only one of the few that were there simply for the music and the spectacle of seeing their live show rather than the whole pop cultural thing of seeing a Japanese band live, etc. A lot of fangirls/boys pushing to the front just so they can get a good look at their favorite band member went on and unfortunately I got stuck in the middle of it. It sort of turned me off from seeing them live again for awhile, but I got over it quick.

"Dir and Gazette fans are both equal levels of abysmal."

Yeah, the reaction DEG fans had to Utafumi on their Facebook page was quite entertaining to watch. Also the futile "Please come play *insert country here*" comment every time they make a tour announcement.

Yeah that's sucks to hear, regardless of their fans I have to see them when they do their most likley final tour overseas next year.

Should we be under the impression that the next DEG album will be their last? I was under the impression that touring overseas would be less of a priority and the gaps between newer material would be much longer due to side bands, other stuff, etc. Regardless, I need to see them live once more myself if only to erase the bad experience I had.

Ironically, I had a better experience seeing GazettE live but that was mostly due to what happened w/the DEG show and what I shouldn't do at one of their lives (i.e. getting as close to the stage as possible)
