i think rough song is my favorite on their new album. elegy to the void is an obvious pick, but rough song plays out like a cut from bloom and it sounds delightfully uplifting (i haven't paid much mind to the lyrics yet). somewhere tonight is very romantic-like a last dance. overall i think i prefer the back half more.

agreed gyro, the second half is sublime. actually at this point, after 10 or so listens, the only part of the album that i don't love is the vocal performance on the opener track, sounds very strained, uncomfortable

This is beautiful. I can hear why people find it boring, but after several listens it's grown on me quite a bit. This is probably an awkward as fuck place to enter their discography but I look forward to diving into the rest of it.
