yeah sorry i just got around to listening to the whole thing and i can't jive to this at all

the synths and percussion are just wayyyyyyy too obnoxiously cheesy for me and the whole twinkly x-treme weeaboo DDR vibe is not for me.

there are a few elements here and there that i thought had a lot of potential tho. Sea of Lights is probably the best song.

that's a shame, but at least you gave it an honest chance

although I think you're reading wayyyy too into the "DDR weeaboo" influence because as far as I'm concerned that's not there at all except in the one track that is a shameless homage to that

the state of popular underground electronic music is heavily rooted in a giant anime aesthetic and no one is more sick of that than me

I'm not going to argue that the album isn't cheesy though, but I've always been about cheese, it comes through subconsciously haha

I'm not saying that's not the image you can't come away from the album with, I'm just saying that's not the image I'm personally trying to promote

i personally love the cheesiness of it, this is so unabashedly cute and nostalgic and jolly, and since it's well done, it feels great
