Pushing this stuff on my friends atm.
|
| |
that means a lot! trying to promote this outside my all developed listener base has been my biggest challenge, so spreading it to your friends and peers is such a huge help
|
| |
promotion is hard :/
|
| |
its easier when yer album rules though
ya dun good rev
|
| |
ahhhh thank you!!
|
| |
yeah sorry i just got around to listening to the whole thing and i can't jive to this at all
the synths and percussion are just wayyyyyyy too obnoxiously cheesy for me and the whole twinkly x-treme weeaboo DDR vibe is not for me.
there are a few elements here and there that i thought had a lot of potential tho. Sea of Lights is probably the best song.
|
| |
that's a shame, but at least you gave it an honest chance
although I think you're reading wayyyy too into the "DDR weeaboo" influence because as far as I'm concerned that's not there at all except in the one track that is a shameless homage to that
the state of popular underground electronic music is heavily rooted in a giant anime aesthetic and no one is more sick of that than me
|
| |
I'm not going to argue that the album isn't cheesy though, but I've always been about cheese, it comes through subconsciously haha
|
| |
I'm not saying that's not the image you can't come away from the album with, I'm just saying that's not the image I'm personally trying to promote

i personally love the cheesiness of it, this is so unabashedly cute and nostalgic and jolly, and since it's well done, it feels great
|
| |
yeah I'm totally okay with that, it's more the image and aesthetic associations I'm trying to clear up
