True. But I liked Elan more than this one tbh. I know people didn't like Elan back then, but it's memorable.
At least Elan doesn't steal its riff from Storytime. Toumas seems to love that rhythmic pattern, he used it in Shudder Before The Beautiful as well

Elan is literally the most boring song they've ever done, IMO.

New song is a bit lengthy but is par for the course. I liked it

New track is just so blatantly safe though. It completely lacks the umph, and is it just me or is the chorus boring as hell?
This should have been THE signature Floor album after she got comfortable within the band, instead it doesn’t feel like the band is even trying.

Ha Ha. It literally is true. Anyway, my biggest issue is them wasting a second disc on an entirely instrumental piece. They have one of the best singers they could possibly get and they continue to waste her on two studio albums now (even if disc 1 ends up a masterpiece, there's always the wasted second disc).

what do you mean wasted? its a bonus.

It's not really a 'bonus' disc anymore than any other Disc 2 of a double album would be.

New song is decent, but the beginning and end sound way to much like Game of Thrones.
Also what makes you think the whole second disc will be instrumental?

Interviews I've read. I'll try to find links.

that would make sense if disc 1 = human, contains human voice, disc 2 = nature, does not contain human voice

https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/nightwishs-tuomas-holopainen-on-human-ii-nature-its-a-concept-album-without-intending-it-to-be/
"On the instrumental that comprises disc 2, "All The Works Of Nature Which Adorn The World":
Tuomas: "It just occurred to us that in the NIGHTWISH catalog of songs, we have never done a big, fully orchestral piece. Now it was the time to do it because you have nine songs about humans, then you want to go out into nature and relax there without the human voice. So, it was the perfect timing to do this kind of song. It's our love letter to planet earth."

He literally has the best, most suitable, singer for Nightwish and he continues to piss it away.

Also The Greatest Show on Earth is kinda bad for an epic. Song of Myself, Poet and Ghost are much better.

Song of Myself is good for like 6 or 7 minutes. Once the poem kicks in it's over for me
