True, the placement probably could've been better. Forget It is cool but I like Rain more. They could definitely be interchanged without affecting the flow of the album much though.

Haven't listened to this in forever, but if I remember correctly, So Cold and Forget It are far and away my favorites on this, for very different reasons obviously. So Cold has that kinda 'Tool lite' feeling to it and Forget It is just a very moody, dreamy, mesmerizing little track. Phobia is their best imo, hated the new song.

I pretty much share the exact same sentiments except I thought the new track was solid.

Forget It is such a strange song relative to their other material. So damn good though

Yep. If they can pull it off, then they should do it by all means.

Yeah it's one of the ones I really dig, the way he sings "how can I believe" especially. My favorite track though has to be either Break My Fall or Away. Can't say I'm the biggest fan of this album though sadly, I hate that word but I think it has their most cringy songs. Shame because it has a sweet emotional side

If you think Firefly or Sooner or Later are cringey I will shoot you

There's a kind of "annoying catchiness" in about half of the album, that's what irks me the most. It's basically in all the livelier songs: Simple Design, Follow, Firefly, Breakdown, Sooner or Later and Believe. The ones I can tolerate the most are Follow (riffs obvs) and Sooner or Later (groovy drumming). Oh and I can appreciate the acoustic piece in Simple Design

Red Cold River grew on me a bit, mainly because I find the "run, run, run red cold river" thingy to be kinda catchy. Honestly what preoccupies me most are the song titles haha. "Psycho", "The Dark of You", "Down", "Blood"... idk

DBD is so fucking boring and has almost nothing to offer in the way of good hooks idk how you could prefer it to Ember but you do you my dude

Yeah I have the same rating on that so fair enough. Just feel that Ember has some tight ass instrumentals at times (really enjoyed the heavier approach) and some absolutely killer hooks, which is I why I feel it edges that guy out

there's a couple hooks i dig but i think they went even more unmemorable with this last album.
