It's just well executed prog metal album, nothing more, nothing less. If you don't like their previous albums, you prob won't like this either. Seems that's the case for you, Noctus.

Axioma ruled but this and RITTIR seem like they're just spinning their wheels. Nothing as effective as Warrun, Giants, Lightning, or Raidho on them. Roots of the Mountain and Death in the Eyes of Dawn came close but that's about it for me.

Maybe Iv'e been hitting their discog too hard lately, but I just can't see how anyone can give this a 2 or lower. 3.5 I can understand but damn.

i really don't like their songwriting style



like, you could cut up these tracks, rearrange them however you please and it would be no better or worse for it. there's no sense of progression or narrative to any of the tracks on this album, or at least not one i can tap into



it's very dense and there's a lot going on at once given time, and i commend them for that, but it doesn't feel like a sum greater than its parts to me. i just can't get into it.

Listened to it a few more times. I would give the first half of this release a 2 and the second half a 3.5 MAYBE close to a 4. I'll stick with the 3 overall - what a boring and bland first few tracks though.
