I don't think this sounds very much like BSN. I tried so hard to like BSN with no avail. "The Longest Mile" is aight though.

Most of the record doesn't sound much like 'Blue Sky Noise' in my opinion. Really just "Sovereign Circle". "Always Begin" and "Quite Down" are very reminiscent of 'On Letting Go' as I mentioned in the review. The rest of the album sounds like a combination of 'On Letting Go' and 'Violent Waves' mixed with some entirely new sounds and a tiny dash of 'Juturna' for good measure. I do feel like the variety and pacing of 'Descensus' is a bit similar to 'Blue Sky Noise' however. At the same time I feel like it's got a more consistent vibe like 'On Letting Go' and 'Juturna'. Kind of hard to put into words because it sounds contradictory but hopefully someone understands, haha.

This is going to have to grow on me. Getting an awful lot of 'Violent Waves' vibes and that album was Circa's wekaest yet. I reckon this is going to be a lot better in my mind eventually though
