That's a lot of the reason why people think the show is a necessary asset to the album. A lot of the songs I disliked, but when you watch the show you gain a little appreciation for each song because of it.

Atleast it doesn't sound like a weird mixture between All Summer Long and Sum41 in their UCH era.

Episode 8 was easily the most entertaining for me. I thought the series was awesome and I'm not a huge Foo Fighters fan. Also, the sound quality of each song at the end of each show was incredible, especially the vocals.
