I appreciate that but I'm not so sure I'm that interested in reviewing these days; I prefer discussion. And I'm not sure if I especially know what I'm talking about, I just like talking around things. Still forming my opinions on this though. I'm more at the stage right now where the album is really interesting to me, but I haven't concluded all that much else. I had it on a 3 and just bumped it to a 3.5 but it could go either way for a while.

My first listen I heard quite late at night and was pretty unimpressed. Especially the first few songs there wasn't much for me to latch onto really.

I'm really surprised more people haven't checked out / spoken about the new album. Bloom and Breathe was pretty popular when it came out.

New album is pretty solid. It's a bit lacking compared to this one though.

I agree. It does a bunch of interesting things but it misses something that this album has that makes this one consistently moreish and easy to enjoy.

New album is pretty good. It's just some of the songs are uneventful. But Habit, Eyes, t/t, and Colour Worn are gems. It feels like a grower.

the new one certainly doesn't have the same 'punch' this has but then again, i don't feel it needs to. the whole thing flows beautifully. still sounds way too much like moving mountains though

I think Parralel Lives is a lot better than this. They just sounded like a Moving Mountains clone to me on this one, and I love MM, don't get me wrong, but I have much more of a connection with the new one.
