just listening to the album. these guys are probably my favorite modern band in terms of riffs and leads, jesus christ. I love my death metal to be melodic, but still not forget that they're primarily death metal m/

Agreed hard on the notion of leads. Riffs may be a different story for me personally, but they are really good anyways
Its like they teeter on that thin line between melodeath and straight Sweddeath.
Wish the vox tho on Sum of All Failures were more prevalent tho. Not too big on the "my leg is being sawed off" howls

i liked ecydsis more than some but anareta is probably better

My problem with Ecydsis was that it felt like a tribute to a classic style. It was a very good tribute to the greats tho. Anareta, however, feels like its own thing. Its as if the bands carving out their own identity now
