I enjoy rubbing my girly beard

I would rather sleep than do a lot of things, because it's just something I enjoy to do. I'm not sure what makes it better than those other things, I just enjoy it more. It's all an opinion thing, so I wouldn't try and waste time trying to wrap your head around it. I mean bowling is pretty much universally enjoyed, but why do some people prefer that to other activities? And yeah I guess being with my thoughts is a precursor the sleeping, but it's still part of the process.

I enjoy not having a beard
this is the drummer for Saor right? I rather liked Aura.

Yes, he did the drumming on Saor's latest LP.

Except that one is a bodily function without you will die that requires absolutely zero skill and you're mostly unconscious during and the other one is a hobby that requries a certain aptitude and you have to be conscious to do. Also, the bowling thing is very much American.
I mean hey, whatever floats your boat.

You're missing the point completely though... who cares if takes zero skill or I'm unconscious... I prefer to be like that or do that to plenty of other things, and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that regard. You may not agree, but it's a matter of opinion, straight up. Also, bowling could be substituted with a billion other things, it wasn't actually about that specific sport.

You really have an issue with straw-men, dude. I wasn't criticizing your preference - I was critizing your analogy for being inadequate.

The analogy was fine, you are just overly critical about everything

Discussing things with you is like talking to a religious zealot. There's a rationalization for everything. I'm sorry but if you believe that you can stretch definitions how you want them whenever you want to then you shouldn't get into debates in the first place.
Also, I was clearly ready to let this go when I said "I mean hey, whatever floats your boat." < this but you decided to go on.

That's the complete opposite from true. It seemed like you couldn't wrap your head around the fact that some people enjoy sleep more than other activities, so I continued. Also, when people say "hey, whatever floats your boat" is usually with a hint of condescension, so I'm sorry if I got a little annoyed at that.

The intro of that last song though. If the next album is more spacey stuff with strings and junk it'll be good.

Sloppiness is inherent to black metal and really adds to it IMO. And I know you can tell the difference between this, and btbam kind of wank, so I'm not even going to respond that.
of course i know the difference, and of course i'm aware that sloppiness is, in a sense, inherent to black metal. i dont think thats an excuse for someone to play outside of their capabilities, though. i wasnt really complaining about the guitar playing itself though, i just felt like the sweeps were pretty overdone and unnecessary in the context of the song.

"when people say "hey, whatever floats your boat" is usually with a hint of condescension"
all depends on the tone bro, like a "live and let live" accepting indifference

that being said, though, this dude is pretty talented and its refreshing to hear some fairly impressive instrumentation in this type of music

i don't think he's playing outside of his capabilities... if you listen to some of his work with other bands, his playing his a lot neater, i think he purposely made the sweeps sloppy to fit the black metal aesthetic

but if you feel they don't fit then i can't argue there... i haven't even heard this so i'm not sure how they sound in the song

His sweeps are always out-of-place in his music. It's like your standard tremolo riffs and blast beats and then all of a sudden fweedle wip doodleoodleoo dlelele with stupid fast out of place blasting with no transition inbetween and it's sloppy and awkward augh please Austin stop that's not black metal.

Agreed but there's a lot to be said about how awesome amateurism sounds in bm.
Still don't really care for this album after giving it multiple tries for a month now.
