theyve never exactly 'tickled my taint' so to speak

i don't know I think Spoon is fairly unique in the realm of alt rock. very distinctive aesthetic/sound

as much as i still wasnt a big fan some of their older work i would agree with you about but this one just seems pretty plain jane to me...

which isnt always a bad thing, the new afghan whigs album tickled my fancy and that was pretty standard stuff too, probably because i have been a fan of theirs for years tho. probably similar feels you guys get about spoon

Yeah Spoon have a very unique sense of groove, and Britt Daniel's voice is pretty unique and awesome as well.

Yeah hands down this is better than Muse in every way...I just rate by how much I like stuff, and this didn't grab me that much. I could maybe bump this to a 3.5 but it would only be to make the distinction.
