I seriously get goosebumps everytime I listen to atonement. That ambient soundscape coupled with the lyrics is amazing.

I love that they actually wrote "SowingSeason" as if that's a real name lol. Usually they just say

"a staff reviewer at sputnikmusic" for me.

the mellow songs on this album > the non-mellow songs on this album [2]

I find it weird that I think this, too, since I generally prefer their more upbeat/aggressive stuff.

They did the same thing with Deviant's review of Skrillex. I guess it could be different since he's a mod but it's still kind of funny.

It's just funny seeing, "John Q. of ___________ website wrote..." then "SowingSeason of Sputnikmusic wrote _______________" lol

Coming from a guy who has been a fan of this band since the release of Blueprints, this is the best review I've ever read on this website. I've spun this album once, like everyone else was super underwhelmed, but man. This review did exactly what was needed. Open my eyes a bit to it all and really appreciate their discography and what they have done.

Well done.

Didn't take long at all for me to warm up to this. I think this is definitely one of their best albums.

a lot of sneaky good tracks on here, i'd probably put it 4th on their discog after cities, vital, and ntfp.

hearing voices is like a way better version of closer, with that delay guitar, soft vocals, and loud chorus

I think that's where I'd rank it too.

Hearing Voices actually gives me more of a Modern Age kinda vibe, even down to where it's placed on the album. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite Anberlin songs.

Cities > Vital > Lowborn = New Surrender > Dark is the Way, Light is a Place, Never Take Friendship Personal > Blueprints for the Black Market
