"No one’s saying it’s masterclass"

"[Dominici] doesn't detract from the mood of the song and actually contours his approach to the composition while the latter simply doesn't. The entire reason Dominici goes for the last note that way in the first place is due to The Killing Hand having a more pensive climax."

He's not bad at all. I don't see what the big deal is

The guy isn't offensively bad (I suppose, it depends on what you find offensive) but he's weak, pitchy and singing quite clearly well out of anything approaching a comfortable vocal range. He's perfectly fine for you average karaoke singer, but as the lead vocalist of Dream Theater. Hell naw. At least he's inoffensive enough to be generally ignorable.

I mean, subjective taste is one thing, but a guy flubbing this many notes on a record where everyone else is doing some pretty dazzling shit. Ugh.

"So how was the show?"

It was awesome! Labrie was about palatable but the rest of the band...damn... Inhuman.

Nope. But I don't blame them. They're probably sick of it.

Mid-tier DT album. This is better than anything after Octavarium.

Back in 2009 before they were super famous they played at smaller more intimate venues and metropolis was almost always the encore

"Cos it's actually one of DT's worst albums thanks to it's hilariously amateurish vocal performance."

Imagine thinking LaBrie's vocals are worth the tedium that is their post-Six Degrees material, let alone make them better than this.
