PF and RD are both 5/5 classics but Christopher Walken's cameo just puts PF over the edge for me.

@Judio agreed hard that scene's fantastic. Speaking of which I'm disappointed Walken only has like one scene in True Romance

@Conc literally almost everything, except Waltz who is a legend

But DiCaprio and Foxx were perfect too.

I felt like every scene in Django could have been cut by a couple of minutes without compromising my overall enjoyment of the film honestly. It was still good and had some great moments, but it just felt lacking in comparison to his classics.

Django was real good, but I kept wondering the last 30 minutes: "is this the ending? Oh, wait, no."

yeah dont get me wrong it was still a good flick, I guess maybe I just ruined it with my expectations. numerous friends of mine insisted that it was "the greatest movie I have ever seen" and with the critical reception it received and my infinite love for IB it just never managed to live up to the hype.

Yep I got the same from my friends avon and it killed the whole thing for me

Firstly Django as a character fucking sucked. Most of the other characters just felt like caricatures of older Tarantino character's, especially DiCaprio's and Jackson's. DiCaprio was fine but the role didn't give him much to work with. On top of that everything after Waltz died, a good 20 minutes if I remember correctly, was absolute fucking wank and nothing short of shameful by Tarantino standards

i prefer Pulp Fiction although Reservoir Dogs is pretty much faultless for what it is. thought Pulp Fiction benefited from the bigger budget and the hype that RD generated.

I think Reservoir Dogs benefits from the low-budget grainy quality it has plus the way it is constructed is just fantastic PLUS the ear-cutting scene is possibly QT's best
