Definitely superior to The Hunter. Aside from the production, I'm not seeing how this is the weakest Mastodon album as some are saying.

It's a good sign when I have a Mastodon hook stuck in my head all day. This album isn't "br00tal" but it's one of the better hard rock albums I've heard in a long time.

Tracks like Ember City and Halloween are hard to get out of your head.

I already hated it before Fantano bitched about it. That and the High Road are probably the weakest for me.

Nothing's worse than the Hunter.
This is alright.

The Hunter is painfully average. Yet to listen to this.

It's a fun metal release and it successfully avoids that shitty commercial touch in the sound, so that's the main reason why people like it I guess.

this is meh i guess. I thought it was very boring. try listening to Leviathan after listening to this. Makes it seem like utter trash in comparison.
