arrangement pertaining to song ordering i couldn't disagree more. the first track is among their best and then the listener hits a brick wall. hard. doppelganger was a terrible choice to put second

Haha I'd love to...but it doesn't have the variety or special "oomph" that makes it a 4.5, much less a 5 for me.

Normally I'd agree that a slow moving 7 minute track would be a terrible choice for #2, but for some reason it works here. Perhaps it's just because that's the style of most of this album - slowly running, like molasses. But every bit as smooth.

I dig doppelganger.

But the last couple songs seem uneventful.

On BA pretty much every real song is fantastic. For me starting with no widows till the end is gold. With rolled together being one of my quiet favs.

I have this weird idea that all Antlers albums that came out after Hospice are continuations of the story of the hospital worker as he slowly recovers from the tragedy in Hospice and rebuilds his life, finding a new lover. Does anyone else get that feeling or am I just really fucking retarded?

I do that all the time with albums whaka. Not just the Antlers. I'm probably wrong most of the time...

interesting GB. i live in new orleans and like listening to this at night, but i don't really get much of a new orleans vibe from this album
