CTS blew me away when I first heard it. Literally. But over time it just hasn't had the replay value. I feel like I have to set time aside to listen to it properly. It's still a stellar album and I love it but I don't reach for it all that often tbh

I disagree, CtS is the Mastodon album I jam the most. I think it has excellent replay value. it's dense without being difficult to listen to.

I feel blood mountain has a bit of everything. Spazzy prog, stoner jams, oddball bits and some sweet drumming. They had started to finally get a grasp of songwriting.
