Ugh. I haven't listened to that song in so long, I forget it's even part of the album. 'Tonight' pushes their ability to play off common tropes so far that it just begins to sloppily emulate them. Kind of see what they were going for, but it didn't work out. It was messy and grating. I think 'Body and Blood' did the same thing far better.

I agree. And as much as I feel the beat change is somewhat awkward, that third verse paints an impressively vivid and strangely beautiful moment.
