Cheers Dan dude. Yeah it would explain things somewhat. The day the music died.

this and Core are the only STP's you need.

maybe get their greatest hits to round out some of the later singles.

I'll definitely take Tiny Music over Core. I'd even say it's about tied alongside Purple but i understand people picking only this instead.

Tiny Music is f'ing great, it's just such a jarring transition from this one to that.

For me Tiny Music is almost on par with this one. It's so creative and special somehow. Both records rule hard for sure.

Creep was the song that got me into STP, even though I think I've listened days of the week back in 2001 I think. but I forgot who they were.

this one and Tiny Music were them cementing a proper sound for themselves.. as great as Core was in places, it was a hanger-on album to the Seattle Sound.. band went to shit damn fast though..

Butch, my opinion exactly - tho i probably tolerate No.4 and Shangri-La a bit more than you :D

Nice to hear bro, yeah i've been digging some great electronic and jazz etc. lately. Feels good man.

“Creep was the song that got me into STP,“

Core was my first STP record and it got me hooked instantly. Never thought of it as a rip off or something. The energy and power was real.

When you learn that no.4 was the first album of them I got, you're going to shred me in pieces.

dan - the best parts of No4 are probably among their finest.. and Atlanta was such a beauty of a closer!! Shangri-La, I can't remember a single song off which just about speaks for itself..

@rodrigo: Why, No. 4 rules hard man, but I won't start a discussion on that again ;]

And nice you enjoy No. 4 in parts at least butcher.

However, there are also some hard bangers on Shangri.
