agreed, chug.

@mal, I didn't even give these guys a chance until recently, although they have some strong songs, it seems like they can't complete a strong album start to finish.

New Era is the only album i'll continue to listen to. Reprogrammed To Hate is awesome

Make It Bleed and Dead Silence are pretty sweet for me, but yeah I can't listen to any albums but self-titled all the way through without getting bored.

Second half of new era is kind of a snoozefest tbh

Agreed, I think it gets samey around halfway through, although it's their second best effort to me.

Whitechapel is one of those bands that has the talent to do something with deathcore, but always plays it safe.

Yeah, they are unique enough to somewhat stand out, but it's so marginal that it doesn't really matter in the long run.

Maybe they don't have it in them. Generally people with the abillity to stand out will do so.
New Era was boring (devolver was fucking sick and a future corrupt slayed, the blasting kind of fit...kind of)
I mean the last 2 have been a step in the right direction.

I used to love Whitechapel's Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile but now I think I began to hate them just like lots of neckbeard elitists here do.

Forgot about this one for a little while. Re-listened and had to bump it up. Diggs Road and Let Me Burn have to be two of Whitechapel's best songs.

This would probably be their best if it wasn't for the annoying double and even triple-layering of Phil's vocals.

His raw voice is awesome, leave it alone on the next record.

There is some SERIOUS drumming on here, a lot of parts here that really show how much better the new drummer is.

Hmm, may have to listen again. I am of the opinion that the self-titled is WAY better than this one.

Listened to a few songs, it literally sounds like everything else they've ever fucking written. Which was cool when I was 18 and This Is Exile dropped.
Now it just kind of sucks.

self titled is better for sure, but this is a bit of a grower, just a tad

Yeah, this definitely doesn't sound like the rest of the stuff. That's half the problem.

I just don't like the vocals and the production is kinda weird, like the guitars have a blunt edge that isn't all the enjoyable, and in general the songs sound a little too simplified
